Customer projects. Tractor pulley standoff

Customer came in with an interesting project to make a tractor pulley stand off, we had a discussion about the project and the best filament to use for such a heavy duty piece. In the end we decided to use POLYCARBONATE as this suited the application best, I first made a lightweight prototype in PLA to check for fitment this weighed 24g, after I was happy with the test piece I proceeded to print the actual item which weighed in at over 100g. The customer picked it up and was very happy with the finished product. I hope this project shows how versatile 3d printing has become with the new range of filaments available.
